Roll call

Too many a times, I have written a letter,

Hoping things will get better,

But nothing,

Have cried my eyes out,

Even worked my back bent,

But nothing.

 

Does it have to be this way?

 

Mary! Mary! Cook the food!

Wash the clothes!

Give me water to shower!

And don’t forget to go to the market.

 

But why? Why does it have to be this way?

Yet we are all equally created. Why?

 

School bell rings, fast faster than the wind,

In comes Mr. Deng;

 First things First, Roll call

John- Present teacher

Brian- Present too teacher

Mary- Absent

Jane- Absent too teacher

Grace- prohibited

Wonderful- wandering in the streets

 

This has to end, yes! it does

Time to shine and stand up for our rights

Equality for all

Education for all

Let’s advocate for a brighter future

Standing for the greater good

Girl child education, Its time for

And Mary, Jane, Grace and Wonderful

Present for school roll call
