Ooh harshness of men, who marry young girls,
To their self-satisfaction and the glory of their action,
To smashed ambitions of compliant girls,
Making their daughters committed to their service,
Exploiting her suitor and yielding from him,
Counting the girls as cows to be obtained,
Counting on them to be obedient and committed,
Counting with the uncles the riches secured,
Destroying her happiness and creating an empty future,
Stripping her of joy and enthusiasm for life,
For all she will ever be is a wife,
She will never forget her internal strife,
There’s only one plea dear papa,
Let me have a chance of life,
To bloom and learn in the corridors of school.
