Oh! You stubborn men who turn against the tribe
For the satisfaction of your lust and love of cows,
With your shortsightedness and greed.
On dreams of young girls you thoroughly trample on,
Equating them to cows you put them to your service,
Exploiting their innocence as you build your ego.
Gambling and pricing them as cows in a market;
For their color, size of feet and height.
Oh! Stubborn men don’t you know of intelligence and
character_
As the two ways of judging?
Other men are engaged in protecting their tribe from
destruction,
Engaged in educating their women and protecting them,
They equate them to the one thing they hold dear,
Women are the tribe.
And so they say
educate one, you have educated the whole tribe.
Oh! You stubborn men who turn against the tribe,
You fake happiness, while you are always fighting because
you lack.
You go for peace meetings that end up in bloody fights,
You have a degree yet you make a school girl a wife,
You love cows more than your sister’s happiness.
For this nation and race you fought bravely for freedom,
But young girls you have kept in chains, in your beds.
How fast you forget you stubborn men!
I pray you see the future,
For educated daughters are the doors to their parents’
happy ending,
For we are not really free till we get rid of poverty.
Oh! My fathers and brothers hear me now:
Culture we all love, but without education we shall never
know peace.
This you shall not deny, oh! you men against the tribe!
